Gesheft Garage Sale

"Gesheft Garage Sale» - it's a day-off fashion event in Odessa, in the format of the flea market.

It was held at Trueman club at Dolphin beach on June, 9th.  The club was full of young creative people, handmade crafted objects and magical atmosphere. Summer, sun, sea and Gesheft...)

I feel happy just walking along the booths and seeing the variety of crafts, the brights colors on the tables and breathing the sea air. So many lovely things to see! Handmade toys, jewelry, rear books, bags, bicycles, pretty clothes and tasty food.

It is such a wonderful event filled with so many unique items made by people who truly love what they do! I think they even have a  special energy! You can feel it…

I find there some new discoveries: I heart pretty teddy bears from philomena kloss and cozy home wear from Ukrainian sleepwear label - Balcony garment.

I was inspired by all the creativity! I left with a smile and hoping to come back next time.

Strawberry time

Hello! Hello!

It is strawberry season here in Odessa. Yummy-yummy!

So it`s time to think about the future -  cold long winter evenings. I know you say that it`s spring now, and no one wants to think about winter. But let`s think about sweets and happiness. It`s time to make delicious strawberry jam! Homemade jam is so tasty and surprisingly simple. Simpler than you’d ever imagine! You need only two ingredients: berries and sugar. 

Today was my strawberry day. I bought 2 kg wonderful red berries and made four jars of flavored jam.

The recipe.

Ingredients:

1 kg fresh strawberries

800 g white sugar

Combine the strawberries and sugar in a large pot. Put over low heat, stir the contents of the pot well until sugar dissolves. Once a boil has been reached, turn off the heat and let the jam cool. Make this procedure for three times and pour jam into the jar.

Lavender mood

Lavender is a beautiful plant that can be used in so many different situations. I love it for its fragrance, color and beauty. And as you know, the smell of lavender has magical effects on our moods.

I decided to make lavender sachets for my friends. I`ve been working on these pretty lavender sachets the last few days.

They are so easy to make. You need:

- fabric on your choice (I chose natural linen)

- laces, buttons or other decorations

- dried lavender

Sew sachet any form  you like – heart, square, etc. Then fill it with your lavender or other dried flowers.

You can put it in your wardrobe or underwear drawer, under your pillow or present to your friends. You can also use them as a sachet for your closet or for a room air freshener, or your car, the possibilities are endless…

Enjoy the amazing fragrance.
